PHOTOGRAPHER'S NOTES
This idyllic landscape is from West Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, where the placid River Wye flows through English pastureland. In a different era, it is easy to imagine John Constable sitting in the sunshine sketching the scene. A few decades later, one can image Francis Bedford setting up a Victorian plate camera, and capturing the same timeless scene. The river is still there, along with the sheep, awaiting our digital cameras.
